The Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand (PSANZ) was founded in 1983 and is the largest Perinatal Society in the Asia-Oceania region.

The membership of the Society includes Basic Scientists, Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurses, Midwives, Obstetricians and professionals involved in Other Perinatal areas .

The Society aims to foster communication between all those concerned with the care of the mother and baby during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period
